fast heart rate because of anxiety?

Hi everyone,
I am 24 female and have always had a faster heart rate. I am currently on 35mg of toprol..and although it helps some, not always. Over the past 5 years i have been to 4 cardiologist. They said my heart is faster at times, but nothing to worry about. It's sinus rythm. They found a small PFO, on accident during testing, and said it is nothing to worry about. That 1 in 4 people have them, and most of them don't know it. It isn't even detectable on a echo. My echo's look great. My question is, during a time of anxiety, does anyone notice their heart beat is constantly higher? It seems mine stays higher, and then when my bout of anxiety gets better...so does my heart rate. It's still a bit higher, but slower than at the anxiety times. Just curious if anyone else had anything remotely similar.
Thanks

Yeah i have been to a cardiologist, he just did an ecg said it looked fine but since i kept having these issues he said i could get an echo and a holter monitor (which ive had done before) in about a months time. I know in the back of my head its all down to anxiety and im anemic which is making it all worse. My mom is the same too i think shes learned to ignore it very well now and so doesnt notice it as much!

Thanks! Yes i do focus on it when it beats fast. Have you ever been to a cardiologist? My mom has a faster heart rate as well and is on the same med. But it seems her gets better the older she gets.

mine is like that and its worse when i focus/concentrate on it..like so much worse!!! I know its hard but try to ignore it and relax..but it makes sense that your heart rate would be higher when anxious..hormones being released and all.  Mine is often high aswell im a 20 yr old female and a very anxious individual lately!!!!! It ***** but its all related and specially worse when your focusing on it. Hope you feel better!
