TO All IN THE Forum

I want you all to know that having anxiety is a real problem. I know you all already know that, but don't let other people make you feel weird, or that what you go through everyday is not real. Some people deal with anxiety better then others, then you have people like us who do need a little help. There is nothing wrong with that. I don't take medication, but know many people who do, and if they didn't have it things wouldn't be good for them. You're not an addict because you need help. I am just annoyed that we come here to support each other and other people come in an mock it or hurt peoples feelings. People like that are just so miserable in their own life that they want everyone to  feel like them.
So EVERYONE keep your head up and continue to support, ask questions or get your frustrations out. There is nothing wrong with helping others. Actually it makes me feel good.

I agree 100%. I made the mistake of telling my mother in law about my doc appt- which made me totally anxious. She said "OMG, you just need to get over this. For such a young girl you have so many problems! You just need to get out of the house and do something. You worry too much". I was so pissed off at her. How could she say this when she has no idea what anxiety is really about!! I quit my job two years ago to go to school full time. This past year, I have transferred to a new college and it is all online. So that is why I am home all of the time. Now I completed my Associates degree- I was doing school full time and working full time- this is when my anxiety started to get bad. So, it is not because I just sit on my behind all of the time and do nothing. Does she think I like feeling this way? I dont think she realizes how long I have had this because I was never vocal about it until this year.

This website is fantastic! I really have no one else to talk with about this. My mom has her own problems right now, so it is hard to talk with her about my anxiety. I just feel more comfortable talking with all of you, because you have similar issues and understand where I am coming from!!  I agree we need to ignore the jerks that dont understand what we are going through!! Thank you everyone!

Yep, we not victims - in fact, we are some of the strongest and most intelligent people in the world.  Having anxiety shows we are thinkers - most of the "sheeple" just go merrily along accepting what "they" (who is they?  the doctor, the folks on TV, the news, etc.) say about everything and not really thinking about deep problems or issues but WE do.  Don't ever be ashamed, don't let any haters drag you down.  They are negative and sick and feed off our strength.  Let's stick together in overcoming this struggle.

As for the trolls - think good thoughts for them; they obviously can't do it themselves.  Pray for them if you are so inclined.  It would be best to IGNORE them so they'll go away, but I'm guilty of feeding them, too.

Ya, I agree with you.   I read what that post it did get me a little upset but I don't care what people think.  I know I have a anxiety disorder and I try to live life everyday and people don't have anxiety they don't relize how hard it is for us.   We all do a good job .  This forum is to support everyone not to make us worst.   WE ALL DON'T NEED PEOPLE LIKE THAT. WE JUST NEED EACHOTHER.
