feeling like you are having a stroke while sleeping

Just wondering if anyone else ever feel like they are having a stroke, seizure or a heart attack while trying to go to sleep?  You wake up and check your pulse or go to the bath room and don't have that feeling.  Then you go back to bed and it wakes you up again.  Now you really want to go to the emergency room or wake up your spouse but feel as though it may be a false alarm....but scared to go back to sleep.  You may be so convinced that you want to call the ambulance.  Please tell me that I am not alone.........

Anxiety can present with these symptoms, but don't assume that it is anxiety.  You need to have other causes ruled out first.  Many on here have heart symptoms due to their anxiety but you must always rule out the heart first and foremost, if only to ease your mind. Take care.

I just posted something similar!  I think mine may be medication related but it always happens right before or right after I fall asleep. I go into a full blown severe panic attack (I am guessing that is what it is). Do you take meds or have a history of panic disorder?
