Sometimes when your body is low on potassium it makes your muscles spasm.  Just an idea.  I know this from experience.

I honestly don't know what potassium has to do with it, but maybe Pamelausa can tell us.. My sis has been on Prozac off and on for 12 years.  IT will stop working so she will go off a couple months then go back on and it always works again for her, she has been very lucky that way.  She says she doesn't notice any side effects on the Prozac, NOW, she has cancer, and the treatment she has to take cant be mixed with Prozac so they switched her over to Celexa....no side effects, but just makes her tired all the time and flat.  She can't wait to get back on Prozac.  It makes her happy and motivated.  Off Prozac she has depression, angry, moody.

We are scared to try meds lol... of course the side effects are frighting and should be something to at least know when starting a medicine so you can watch for it...but sometimes they help.  My sister takes Prozac and does wonderful on it.  I couldn't tolerate it.  And unfortunately we never know until we try.  Pamelausa had a good idea, get your potassium levels checked, or maybe electrolyte levels too.  I plan on doing that myself next week.  IF I remember to ask.

See a doctor about potassium maybe.  Almost sounds like some sort of muscle problem like restless Leg syndrome.

It sounds like an OCD behavior...maybe google natural remedies for OCD?  What about just seeing a counselor, without going on meds?  Or a Naturopath?  They could give some good ideas on natural remedies?  It sounds like your trying all you can do, but just need a little help.  Don't give up.

Maybe try some relaxation techniques, meditation, or even some homeopathic if you don't want drugs.  There are natural alternatives.  Rescue Remedy?  But definitely try to find something to take your mind off that need to pull.  Resist that urge, take a walk, or write, meditate, get up and move when you feel it.
