fizzing feet/ sensations etc

Hi. I have suffered from anxiety/panic attacks for years. I am getting the strange sensations in my feet/legs. I have very bizzare dreams and often wake up with one or both hands rigid as though gripping something. I also continually keep crossing my legs and pressing hard on the floor with my feet.  Really annoying and often sets off an anxiety attack.

I would have to agree that anxiety can cause all sorts of symptoms.  I am glad that you are going to see your doctor...I believe it is a good thing to keep an open dialogue with him/her.  In my experience, aches and pains can also be exacerbated by anxiety.  For example, when I was worried about heart health, any pain that I associated with my heart was 'magnified' in my mind as well just because I was already worried about it.  I think that is one of the many reasons that makes anxiety so hard to deal with at times...let us know how the appointment goes.

The arthritis may be a possible culprit. If you have it in your hip you may also have it in your hands. I'm glad to hear you will be seeing your Dr to get these symptoms checked out. Please keep us up to date on what you found out.

Thanks for your helpful reply. I do have arthritis in my right hip. Not sure whether this could be the cause. Will get appointment at docs and see if they can shed any light on the  problem.

Anxiety does come with a very long list of possible symptoms. I have never heard of this one before. Can you give us more information please? Do you use the computer alot, do you sit alot? I'm asking because if you do sit alot of you the computer it can cause back problems like pinched nerves and such. I wake up with the rigid hands too. Arthritis runs in our family so I think I may have a touch of it too. See your Dr to have your lower back checked. Try not to stress about it. I know, easier said than done. It really does sound like possible pinched nerves. Only your Dr can tell you for sure though. If that's what's going on a good Chiropractor can most likely fix it.
