i need someones opinion

I am 18 years old and have been suffering from various symptoms since june. I get random numbness in different parts of my body ranging from my lips to parts of my face, legs, hands feet and arms. Currently my left pinky and side of hand has been numb almost constantly for two days. i used to experience extreme dizziness and constant feelings that i was going to throw up but those have improved over the last couple of weeks. ive also suffered from migraines since i was an infant and i have not been having too many migraines lately but i have had a headache almost everyday for two months. i went to the doctors and had blood work done to check for everything and it came back normal except i tested positive for lyme disease...i guess the lyme disease tests has a lot of false positives so it was sent out for a western blot test which luckily came back negative. I then had an mri and mra of my head done and everything came back normal but i dont understand why i am experiencing numbness, it absolutely scares the crap out of me....my dctr and neurologist believe it is migraines and anxiety and my parents think its alll in my head.....but i dont know what to think anymore. help!!

Get your heart checked out to be on the safe side, although heart problems are very rare in one so young.  But you need to rule this out for your own peace of mind.  Keep us posted and best of luck!

i actually saw a therapist yesterday who happens to also be a nurse and she thought it could be anxiety  but also told me it could be my heart which actually made me feel worse than i did when i went to therapy haha but i feel like if my doctors thought that was an option they would have performed an ekg? thank you so much for your input and i agree life is definitely too short!!

When I get migraines I have tingling in my arms.  Yours may be a combination of both migraines and anxiety.  You need to have an evaluation by a psychiatrist now that all other causes have been ruled out.  He can prescribe  medication to help with your symptoms and refer you to therapy which can be a big help.  Your parents may be in denial, thinking if they act like it's nothing, then it will be nothing....not fair to you. Anxiety is very real and many suffer with the same symptoms as yourself.  Seek help so you can start feeling better, life is too short to be held hostage by anxiety.  Take care.

Hello, I've read many stories like this and if you have already been checked out by the doctors then I've heard that it can be that your spine is not alligned properly. You should go see a chiropractor sometimes the spine pinches some nerves. Well good luck hope you go!!!!
