I too pull out eyebrows, pubes, and head hair. My first memory of this is when I was 12 and I'd plucked the whole of one eyebrow and my mum had to draw it back on for me. I'm 37 and still do it but less frequently so I don't see it as too much of a problem as long as I don't concentrate to long on one part. I also pick my skin but in more hidden places.
Taking medication such as SSRIs eg. fluoxetine (Prozac), fluvoxamine (Luvox), sertraline (Zoloft), citalopram (Celexa), escitalopram (Cipralex, Essertia) can help. Psychotherapy such as cognitive behavioural therapy could also do the trick. Or a mixture of both.

Guess it is for real as someone else just posted very similar question. Personally never heard of it before and I'm sorry you're plagued with it. Would suggest therapy to figure out why you do this.
I do wish you luck

lol yes this question is for real... i pull my eyelashes, pubic hair and eybrows, sounds like trichotallimania. i looked this up and it caught my eye so thats why i decided to post this to see if anyone else has heard of it or could give more info on this. greenlydia if it was so easy for me to just STOP DOING IT i wouldnt be on this site trying to figure out y i do it and how i could stop. but thanx for your response anyway. =)
I did that at times and the Doctor said it was quite common. Gave me some Ketoconazole cream and it went away. Use just a little it only once a day and be careful not to get it into your eyes. If you use just a tiny smear on your finger you can get pretty close to your eye. Good Luck
Is this question for real?
Sounds like you have nothing more than a "nervous" habit. Most people do something that falls into that category. I twiddle my hair. My friend bites her fingernails. My husband shakes his left foot. My doctor twists his wedding ring. My dog.........well, never mind what HE does!
Medication and therapy are NOT required for these "afflictions!" If they are causing you anxiety, STOP DOING IT.
With practice I think you will be able to overcome these nightmarish "pulling" issues.
Peace
