Yep, typical. Cold sweats, racing heart, waking up fully dissociated, or in a full blown attack. Sometimes they are even worse because they rudely wake you out of your sleep cycle and you have no idea whats going on for the first several minutes. Panic happens anywhere, and at anytime.
YES. I have just started having this. i have had an anxiety disorder for 20 years, but never had issues with it waking me up until the last couple months. It's awful to wake up feeling like this. I'm not new to anxiety but this is strange...gonna try to figure out if it might be hormones or something. I have thyroid problems too.....but man, this *****...maybe call your doctor. hope you feel better soon
Hello, this happens to me a lot. I wake up with anxiety really bad sometimes, but its usually when I have a really weird dream and im not sleeping well. I always have really detailed, long dreams which are often really scary and just plain bizzare and when i wake up i just feel weird and anxious. Maybe your dreams have something to do with it...or just that your not sleeping well.
Anyhow, your not alone with this cause it happens to me all the time! I told this to my psychologist and she said if it really bothers me to take benadril before I go to bed so i sleep heavy through the night.
