sounds like you've had allot of test done. seems you also have seen different doctors with the same result, have you tried a therapist yet? seems related to anxiety from what you wrote, but check with a therapist, have a talk, our bodies tell us things in different ways. keep us posted.
hi i too suffer chest pain skipped beats tightness etc etc and its been put down to anxiety cause i have a fear of having a heart attack you must believe the tests, you have had so many and there all good. your blood pressure will be a bit higher when your full of anxiety over the pains and to be honest mine has been a lot higher than your readings when im on panic mode. your blood pressure has to be permenantly high for months for it to cause any damage and my nurse told me anything 84 or lower is perfect so you have no worries there. as silverberg said get some therapy cause it sounds to me your getting over sensative over these pains.
I have to echo the two members up above. If you had the tests; which you have it is time to believe them, especially when all the doctors you have seen have come to the same conclusion. In my experience, when we suffer from health related anxiety, we are going to feel it even if we don't want to. My original anxiety had stemmed from heart health, and I still feel every palpatation, twinge, pain, etc...but I don't perceive it as something that is wrong with my heart...which it isn't.
Getting out of this anxiety cycle can be a little difficult but it can be done with knowledge about your worry through talk therapy. I would suggest going to your doc to get a referral to see a therapist...you would be amazed how much progress you will make as you learn about this...please keep us posted!
Hello. I also suffered with the strange feeling of skipped heart beats and also pain on the left side of my heart as well as pain in the right and middle of my chest. My pain has been dull, achy, stabbing, piercing, tight, pressure like, and sore. I would check my pulse on my neck and I could feel the pulse very hard. What really scared me was the fact that my left arm and leg were constantly "tingly" and numb. So right away I thought it was the heart. It took me a month to go to the doc but they did ekg/x-ray as well as blood work and everything was fine. The Doc says that it is anxiety related as well as muscular. It has gotten a whole lot better ,thank God, but, when ever I can hear my heart beat I just try and remember that everything is fine with my heart and after about 2 minutes it goes away!=) I know that it is Soooooo hard to stop worrying when you get the physical symptoms, but with time I think that we can all beat this. Hope you get better and take care.
well im just concerned about the fact since its been going on for 2 yrs, is this a good thing or bad thing? what could that mean?
mine has been going on for 2 years aswell. on and off for 14 but permenant for 2. i would say thats a good thing (even though its a waste of 2 yrs) surely if there was something serious the symptoms would have gotten worse at the very least you`d be passing out but after 2 yrs most probably dead!!!!!! but were still here so get some faith in the tests you had trust them and seek some therapy to get this anxety sorted out
I have now been wearing this event monitor for about a 2 weeks now and I've had a few episodes where it felt like my heart would skip a beat and go in my throat, I pressed the button and they would call and ask about my symptoms. Never called and said anything was wrong though, I guess they would know if something is wrong???? I dunno, I think they are just event loggers. Does a Dr. look at them also, before they send the final report when you turn your monitor in to them and then they send my Dr. the report??? Does anyone else get these skipped beat feeling in your throat also, what could it be??? Thanks
if the symptoms were serious then they would know exactly what to do. if they are just event loggers then they will have had intense training and will recognise any danger sighns, so dont worry. yes a specialised doctor will check out the full report, my general doctor also recieved a report, it wasnt the whole report just saying i had the all clear.
and definatly yes i have the skipped beat in my throat feeling, its just palpatations. i have had them for years the event monitor will recognise them and mostly they are beningn. try to relax and not think the worse, i know its difficult
I had chest pain with panic attacks and chest pain with depression. Also chest pain with food sensitivities. One of the stronger chest pain problems I had was related to my back being out of alignment. I was going to the chiropractor and when he fixed my upper back my chest pain went away. On occasions it would come back and I would go in for another back fix. Well it is fixed now and I haven't needed the chiropractor in years. Might want to check that out.
I have had these horrible palpataions for about 5 yrs now. I was affraid to sleep at night thinking i wont wake up ever again. I went to the doctor about 2 yrs ago and they did a echo, ekg and 24hr hulter moniter. Everything came back normal. I wasn't convinced. When i was wearing the hulter moniter i didnt have any palpataions. so i asked them if i could wear it longer they said they would look at my transcripts and let me know. They said my heart rythem was completly normal. So they wouldn't let me wear it longer. I was scared cause i didnt have them when it was on. Im not sure what to think about that. They told me it was prob from anxiety. So i went to see a therapist about year and half ago and ill tell you what most of my palpataions are gone now but i do get them from time to time. They still scare me but when i get one i tell my self its ok im not gonna die and it usually gos away quickly. So im pretty sure the doc was right that they are anxity related. I feel alot better now. seeing a therapist really helped me. Any suggestions about this?
