Paranoid of brain aneurysm

Hi, I started developing sudden stabbing pain in the side of my head that last for 2 seconds or so. sometimes i'm off balance, but these symptoms don't occur often at all.  recently my friend died of brain aneurysm and she was very young, in her teen years. now i'm paranoid that i may have it too because my grandma also has it and it's hereditary. ever since my friends death i've been anxious and therefore having tension and pain headaches, and it's been lasting a week now. i know im emotionally weak, and i dont really know how to stop thinking about it. and everytime there's pain in my head i get really scared. what should i do?

Has anyone on here actually had a brain aneurysm?  I had one at 18, and I'm 26 now.  I have terrible anxiety and live in constant fear of having another one.  I am on Zoloft right now and have tried both Lexapro and Paxil in the past and I still feel terrible.  If anyone has had an aneurysm and suffers similar symptoms, please let me know what is working for you.  Thank you.

It most likely is just anxiety so dont worry.i have really bad anxiety and i experience all of those symptoms along with many others.i too worried that there was something wrong with me but after seeing the doctor and knowing it was nothing but anxiety i actually began to feel somewhat better with all of that reasurrance.i suggest just going to your doctor bc after what youve been through theres no doubt that its just anxiety.well good luck and im sure youll be much better soon :)

It's probably anxiety I lost a son a couple of years ago (a newborn) and very quickly I got pregnant again. After I had her I've had extreme anxiety, which I read can happen after you've lost a child & then have another.Anyway right after she was born I too experienced sharp stabbing pains in my head most of the times on the sides, from temple to behind my ears. They usually didn't last very long. But as the last year has gone by they have gotten less & less frequent.I hardly have them at all now.If it makes you feel better see a doctor. But try not to worry yourself your not alone.:)

you need to just try and relax... this is probably just anxiety... sounds like you've been through some things... and what you are describing is anxiety symptoms... signs of stress and tension.

But, if it makes you feel better to go to the Dr., you should. A clean bill of health will make you feel better.

I'm sure you are fine. =)

God Bless you.
