I have been taking Lexapro for 2 days now.  Do you still have anxiety attacks when you start this meds if so how long does it take for it to start working.

Yes, it takes up to 6 weeks for this type of medication to reach a therapeutic level in your body.  You could talk with your doctor about a quick acting anxiety medication to help with the panic attacks in the meantime.  Always work closely with your doctor on your medication, so call him and let him know what's happening and see what he suggests.  Know that every day gets you closer to feeling better, so hang in there.

Thanks for your response.  I have been dealing with anxiety for about 6+th months without meds and it has gotten out of control since my grandmother died.
