Iyou would like to try medication, you need to go to a psychiatrist. A therapist cannot prescribe medications.
I would go see an actual MD first. Usually, they will give you some xanax or something similar, to see if your panic/anxiety is just a temporary thing. If you find that after a week or so, you are still experiencing the acute anxiety when not on the tranquilizer, you should consider taking an anti-depressant. Your therapist may be against western methods, and I understand, but if it's really ruining your life and not getting better, go the medication route. Some of these natural healer people can be irresponsible. All of us aren't blessed with a brain that allows us to turn off the anxiety/panic when we want, in my opinion. But some are blessed with it, and they don't understand what we go through. Medication can be a life saver if you find the right one.
Sounds like the OP has a prettuy long history of anxiety, complete with therapy and all. I still think a p-doc is theway to go.
