medical help

Yeah well i dont have anxiety. I dont know what i have. Yes i do get dizzy, light headed, headaches all the time, my heart races SOMETIMES but mostly it feels like my shoulders tingle and my heart will pop out of my chest. It feels like a pressure on my shoulders and chest. And when i get like this its hard to breath, like it feels like there is air in my throat that wont push out. And my eye sight has changed, i see black fuzz alot, and like my eyes are dilated in the morning, everything is super bright, my hearing ***** sometimes, and to top it off i usually get these attacks when im LAYING down and not doing anything, nothing on my mind, just chilling. I thought maybe it was because im 5'4 and weigh 194 but im not really fat im more muscle. its crazy. And also i black out completly easy! also when i work out i get these weird feelings, like not pass out but my shoulders ache and my throat feels like that "air" problem i explained up there. I just dont believe that is anxiety or panic attacks....cause arent panic attacks and anxiety supossed to happen when your out and about? Or when yourr stressed and thinking about things? I'm a kid who doesnt think bad, im always pretty much happy. My mom thinks its blood sugar cause im dieting but its happened for awhile. It happend last year in gym, i was just lying there, not doing anything, not thinking of anything (becuase that class is boring) i was trying to sleep and i wake up to my heart just feeling like i was about to die! like i was gonna pass out from my heart stoping. And another thing is i wake up like that all the time....where something startles me when i wake up and my heart is so fast, (no dreams) and my eyes are dialted.....im scared i have a heart problem or a brain problem......I need to know if anyone else is like this??? or if you know if this could be my blood pressure??? PLEASE help me?

You do realize the military will do a physical on you and if your body is out of whack you will not get in.

Talk to your doctor ASAP, ....

You can lose weight and eat more.....that just isn't healthy!

I think you know that.....

Your body needs calories....a normal person requires 2000 calories a day...on a diet, you can decrease that a bit...but not down to nothing!!!!

I hope you re-consider.

A salad and that's IT?

You need to get yourself to your doc ASAP...if that is all you are eating...your electrolytes are very possibly out of whack, which can not only affect how you feel, but can also be dangerous.

Same with your glucose, and you could also be dehydrated.

NO WONDER you feel awful...is it any wonder?

You need to be checked out again...and you need to improve your eating habits, or you can seriously harm yourself.  That is NOT enough to sustain a child all day, let alone a young adult...AND you are working out?  You might as well stop that...b/c your body will start to consume your muscle tissue to survive.

Do you have an eating disorder?  How long have you been doing this???

I eat a salad everyday, and thats enough for me cause im not really hungry alot of times, and i got taken off the meds 3 months ago, and my problem stopped for like 3 months then its back again....its basically a tingly feeling in my shoulders, headaches, dizzyness, if i get up to fast or even too slow i start to black out....and the thing is im not scared.....so it couldnt be panic could it?

You know it could be contributed to your diet. Seriously. If you neglect to eat you starve your body of a lot of nutrients it needs to function physically and MENTALLY. You could be deficeint in some vitamins that would cause you to feel this way. I think electrolytes play a vital role in the "mind". Have you told your doctor the medication is not working? Are you eating healthy? EVERYDAY......

What anxiety pills where you on? Xanax? Probably why they stopped working. Short term benzos. Just guessing by the way. Let us know the medication type for the anxiety. And if just stopped them or anything like that. May be very important.

Let me tell you my friend I didn`t have my first anxity attack until I was thirty nine ! This sounds like classic anxiety and possible panic to me and being a person who has G.A.D . I know trust me. Like the others anxiety victoms here said go to the doctor if all is negative I think you should consider seeing a psychologist . I don`t know were you live but here in Los Angeles I go to the UCLA anxiety clinic and it is one of the best . They have helped me to live a pretty normal life and im sure one of these clinics might do the same for you. Take care ..Jimmy

Classic anxiety syptoms. Maybe you should talk to someone first before you rule anything out. Took me a couple of months in therapy before I knew where my anxiety came from. Before that, I never had panic attacks, just head aches, shoulder tightening, lump in my throat, fuzzy vision.

If you haven't had a workup at your physician's office...that is where you should start...rule out the "sugar" and other possible causes.

Have you actually passed out completely?  Or just get very dizzy?

Also...you are a bit uninformed about anxiety and panic (which I would expect you to be, btw!)...it can strike anywhere, at any time....with or without stress.  Some people are awakened out of a deep sleep with panic attacks.

PERSONALLY, what you've described sounds to me like classic panic attack symptoms.  I honestly...for your sake hope it IS something else...something easy and quick to fix.

After you get the once over by your doc....if they determine that nothing is wrong...then you will need to address the anxiety...before it worsens.  The first time people experience a panic attack...it can be very confusing.  A great majority of people end up in the ER during that first attack...b/c it genuinely DOES feel as though somethig is very wrong, physically.

Let us know how you're doing okay?  Hang in there!

Forgive me for saying so, you are so sure what you don't have, yet you have posted on a forum for anxiety and panic attacks? I'm curious about that part? Especially if you don't suffer from anxiety or panic attacks. Sounds to me like you are panicing over your heart and breathing and the likes. Total anxiety. Ever go get things checked out at a hospital? Bet you if you did they would come back negative. In which case your own doctor would have to take over. Most probably put it down to anxiety / stress and give you some form of medication. It's not always the answer. But sounds like a little something is needed to calm your mind down.
