migraines/chestpain, could this be stress related?

Hi, i posted this on the undiagnosted forum but didnt get much of an answer so i figured i d try posting here:

I am 23 year old male and fairly athletic, and my body's been doing some weird stuff over the last year. A year ago I had a weird feeling in my head and it proceeded to turn into a mild headache that lasted a few weeks. The doctor suggested that it may be the start of migranes(mother suffers from migranes). The constant mild headache subsided however now I get really bad throbbing headaches after playing sports. I have been instructed to take an anti-inflamatory before/after I play and it seems to help a little. I also have a white coating on my tongue that wont go away. The doctor thought nothing of it so I dont think its thrush. Recently I had a bad cold and experienced some mild chest discomfort. I assumed it was from the cold/virus or whatever it was I had. A couple weeks have passed and I am no longer ill and for a few weeks the chest discomfort was gone. However now the chest discomfort seems to be back. Sometimes I can feel it to the right of my heart and others on the left. It also seems to be accompained by a tickle in the back of my throat. I can still play sports fine without experiencing a shortage of breathe or feeling tired so I don't think it's heart related but who knows. I m getting tired of going to the doctors and having him dismiss it as nothing.

Anyone have any ideas? I have been really stressed out recently worrying about every little symptom and am not sure whats wrong with me. could this all be caused by stress?

ya thats how it started with a weird pressure feeling in my head for a few weeks. Like i said though, that went away and now i am left with migraines after long periods of excercise. Every so often i ll also get sharper pains behind my eye on the same side of my head that i get the migraines on that last about 30 secs. Again doc says these are quite common in migrain patients. I think I am finally beginning to accept that these are simply migrains and that i don't have a serious condition. I know I've spent many hours trying to find an illness that links headaches, chest pain, chronic stuffy noise, white tongue, and a bunch of other minor symptoms but not one comes close other than the possibility of anxiety. For the longest time I've been worried about it being a brain tumor regardless of the fact that in all the online reading/research I've done, not one person with a brain tumor mentioned most of my symptoms. Now i've started to realize that perhaps all this worrying about a brain tumor etc, although not leading to panic attacks, probably can't be good for my general health. It's a vicious cycial though of "alright its just stress" followed by second guessing "but what if its not stress" and then it continues. Hopefully realizing this all is the first step in putting it all behind me. It's nice to know I am definitly not the only one going through this.

Thanks for the reply 'anxietysucks', and definitly an appropriate name :P.

I have dealt with this issue-sort of. i was experiencing chest pain, weird kinda unexplainable feeling in my head. like pressure? i have been diagnosed with anxiety recently. i know that once i figured out these were stress or anxiety related it really helped to deal with it. stress is a very powerful thing, scary powerful. I started out feeling the chest pain which worried me even though i'm only 29. dr's said i was fine but my mind would not let me believe that! i've had every test imaginable for heart problems, all normal. stress could for sure be responsible it affects your central nervous system in a crazy way! if the dr says its normal chances are it is? stress problems or anxiety are very difficult to get over, good luck!!! i kinda rambled-sorry but i hope it helps?
