Try breathing in for a count of four, holding your breath for a count of seven, and exhaling for a count of eight. Pause two seconds and repeat a few times. That technique usually helps me. Yes, me too. I worry whether anyone can hear my breathing getting louder which makes me even more anxious! I then try to talk to myself, with a soothing inner voice to calm myself.
