out of breath and anxiety

anyone ever feel like they are out of breath when they have anxiety? like you arent getting enouhg oxygen?

Oh yes! I think it's one of the most common symptoms of anxiety and I also think that most of us here at this forum go through this.

Yes.  Breathlessness is a common symptom of anxiety.  I frequently hyperventilate when having a panic attack.  Try breathing in for a count of four, holding your breath for a count of seven, and exhaling for a count of eight.  Pause two seconds and repeat a few times.   That technique usually helps me.  I hope it helps you, too.  You'll be ok.

Yes, me too. I worry whether anyone can hear my breathing getting louder which makes me even more anxious!  I then try to talk to myself, with a soothing inner voice to calm myself.

I recently started yoga, maybe this could help you too?
