panic and anxiety thru the roof

Hello! 7 weeks and 3 days ago I found out I was pregnant and had to stop taking my Abilify and Trazadone as well as stopping self-medicating with ciggs and pot, both of whcih I used a lot of.  Since then, my stomach has been a ball of knots, I can barely sleep, and the panic, anxiety, and fear are thru the roof and unbearable. To top it off, I am in an emotionally abusive marriage I cannot leave and do not have much in the way of support. My Aunt suggested I reach out online. I would appreciate talking to anyone who has any similair problems for support.  Thank you very much.  (BTW, the doc let me stay on my Cymbalta for Fibro and on Friday scrited Ambien for sleep, but neither is really touching the problems...)

Hello,
I have similar problems.  I am 22 weeks pregnant and my anxiety is so bad, I can't sleep right now.  It's nice to know others are going through this.

My anxiety was through the roof with my first pregnancy.  The trouble is that for the first three months the baby is forming and you really don't want to take anything because of this.  Look at the literature and see if studies have been done regarding SSRIs and pregnancy.  For me it was 17 years ago and there were no studies.  I just had to do what I had to do.  I would definitely do some online research to see what others have done in this situation.  Also, as Julie said, you can go on YouTube and find some very good meditation videos that hopefully will help you relax. In my case I was seeing both a Psychologist and a Psychiatrist.  The Psychologist helped me with behavior modification and the Psychiatrist went through the medication options with me.  I know how hard this is and I am really sorry you have to go through it.

I really feel for u i dont know what i would do in that situation.  I am so sorry, talk to your dr maybe there is something to do about the anxiety.  I tell u what i go to a theropist and she does hypnotheropy for anxiety it might be some thing to try.  also they sell those relaxation cd if you really listen to them do everything they say and hang on every word they do work might take a couple time but it will help.  You can add me as a friend if you need to talk.  good luck and God bless
