panic when i have to eat

Hi all, i have been posting on here for a while about the trouble my anxiety has been causing regarding my swallowing. I have been to the doctor and have got meds. Propanalol and an antidepressant too. I have been taking them for 3 days and i feel ok. i am realising i can swallow and feeling less freaked out. But now i seem to be focusing on choking when i eat. I am eating a little but feel so anxious that i may choke. its really stressing me out. I seem to be moving from one problem to the other. I know i can swallow so this is so frustrating.

Has anyone else felt like this? i love food and have no weight issues. I really do feel like i will choke. the doctor has said besides my anxiety i am in very health.

Any suggestions would be welcome.

Thanks r9c. I will try to relax before i eat. Its true, i do already feel anxious before i eat so that makes sense that my throat feels tight causing the sensation.

thanks, joa

Yes i do experiencing difficulty swallowing,a choking sensations at times because before i started eating,i already had this anxiety feeling inside my mind that i am going to have difficulty swallowing, thus the mind is a very powerful thing, its just at times u can swallow but when u tense all ur neck muscle during anxiety times,it just make you have those choking sensation.Try to loosen ur muscle and take it easy allthough said easier than done but then you will realised that u actually can eat well.
