hormonal problems causing severe anxiety?

I have some hormonal issues- a micro prolactinoma and hypothyroidism, both in treatment, but still not optimal levels. I'm also in a peri-menopause, my period is since few months irregular. My anxiety is very strong, I'm on beta blocker, because I don't want to start with psycho drugs which would make me addicted. Is here someone with similar problems, thyroid condition, peri-menopause, or other hormonal dysfunction, having anxiety all the time?
Thanks!

How much beta blocker do you take? It makes me fatigued and lowers my blood pressure, but it helps me a bit with the hardest anxiety. I'm glad to know that many women in peri menopause have strong anxiety as a symptom, it's always hard when you think you are alone with such problems.

I too began experiencing panic attacks and after a lot of tests to ease any health anxieties. It seems to be peri-menopause. I am 40 and it is crazy. My gyno is very patient and has listened as well as my cardiologist. It seems as if  I need to learn to manage them better among other things. I currently take a very low dose beta-blocker when on the 14th day of my cycle and ativan as needed. Some days are better than others. I get numbness, dizziness, and heart palpitations. its no fun but I joined this site to seek out any advice, suggestions, and to feel at peace knowing I'm not the only one.
