Fear, visions or seeing things night and day, anxiety,

My mom is having visions of people parading in the room, some doing nothing some had guns.  She has been sleeping with a small Bible in her hands.  One night she got up to go to the bathroom and could not find her way out.  She is now seeing things and insects during the day and will not stay downstains by herself.  She had me sleep with her last night.  I am very worried about her. Her vision is very poor, actually can be declared blind.  She had a stroke several years ago and uses a walker but is always afraid of falling.  My mom is in her 80's.  I woud like to know what may be the causes and what type doctor to send her too.

Your mom may have some early stage of dementia or Alzheimers--her symptoms match. Taking her to her physician for a check-up first to make sure it isn't something physical would probably be a good idea. He/She can also give you advice regarding your mom's behavior and what you should do for her. Good luck and God bless.
