I'm losing my mind please help me !

I've noticed a new mole on my skin on the left side of my rib cage and when I scratch it kinds of hurts, it's tanned colored and has a black spot on it.. it looks like a black hole with a small cut on it. My question is. Do I have melanoma or skin cancer ? Please need an expert view on this as I am currently on holiday and went to couple of pharmacy and they said it doesn't look like skin cancer at all but more of a fungus infection etc and I've been eating myself out. I noticed it almost 3 weeks+ it's never bled or anything just scaring me to bits! I'm losing my mind I'm actually dying please help!!

Hello Reda,

Right, what you need to do first of all is to STOP PANICKING!

You are NOT dying!  You are worrying and panicking unduly.  You are on holiday, so put this out of your mind for the next 2 weeks and enjoy your holiday.

As we get older, new moles, warts, freckles, age spots and liver spots start to appear.

I have looked at your picture.  I am no expert on skin cancer, but this spot, because it has a little dry skin, looks more like a wart.

Do NOT scratch it and leave it alone.

ENJOY what is left of your holiday.

Because you are worried sick and have not taken on board what the doctor or the pharmacists in the holiday country (Kuwait) have told you, then make an appointment to see your own doctor when you get back to London.

Make a routine appointment.  Depending on what your doctor diagnoses, he may freeze it off, give you an antifungal cream, may take a scraping to send to the laboratory for analysis.  More than likely the doctor will know by looking at it what it is and give you the correct treatment.  No doubt, because you are so panicky, unduly stressed and anxious, you will not
trust his judgement

Stick a plaster on it the for the next 2 weeks of your holiday and forget about it.

Enjoy the rest of your holiday, stress and anxious free.
Let me know what your own doctors says when you get back home.

Best wishes.

Thank you so much, for some reason I just can't accept it I don't know why and I have no family history of skin cancer or any cancer also I'm 21 have dark skin brown hair black hair brownish colored skin etc. the pic I provided shows. And to be honest yeah I constantly check it and the doctor looked at it and said it isn't melamoma or skin cancer but not buying it and even few pharmacies said the same

Enjoy your holiday! Your doctor said it doesn't look like it that's great news! If I press on my skin with my nails it also hurts and I'm guessing you've been picking at it A LOT making it even more sensitive. When I have anxiety over a painful place on my body I always touch it/press on it making it even more painful causing the anxiety to rise. Enjoy your vacation and get it checked out when you get home. Until then I would say leave the mole alone and look at it no more than twice a day.

I'm sorry I can't be much help.... Not sure if anybody can in this forum (especially without seeing the mole). It should make you feel better pharmacy said it  doesn't look like skin cancer. I think the only thing that can make you feel better is going to the doctor to get it checked out.
