Hi,i understand that,i also had constant chest pressure/pain and shortness of breathe, light headenes, feeling of fainting allthough never faint,as a result of this..did 2 stress test, echo, several ECGs,full blood count, thyroid test and all came back fine...i know its hard to accept all this physical symptoms are caused by anxiety.i do find a bit relief after reading a book by Dr claire weekes, hope and help for ur nerves, she explained all those causes and symtpoms of anxiety.

In my opinion, anxiety can cause of all which you are describing.  You did the right thing by going to get checked out, but you had the applicable tests done and the doctor says you are fine.  There are many people that come to this community with health anxiety.  My original experience with anxiety was concerns with my health.  In my opinion, when we constantly worry about something, we tend to focus in on what we are concerned about and become 'oversensitized' and tend to misinterpret every little feeling we have with what we are concerned with.  For example, I used to be concerned about heart health and I originally thought something was wrong with my heart.  I saw the doctors and had the tests done and they said that it was just anxiety.  I just 'knew' they had to be missing something, because I felt every little skipped beat, chest pain, and any wierd feeling associated with my heart.  I probably felt all of this before, but just didn't pay attention to it.  Unfortunately, it can spiral out of control, if we don't focus in on the root cause....anxiety.

For me, accepting that it was anxiety was one fo the hardest steps I took in confronting this.  I was initially confused and scared.  I had gone from being outgoing, extremely active and enjoying life to being introverted and scared to do many things that I took for granted.  But for me, counseling with a therapist did wonders in learning about it and more about anxiety in general and I believe I enjoy life much more now than when I initially went through this.

Now, it is a difficult and long road sometimes with good and bad days, so don't get too down on yourself.  Millions of people go through this, so you are not alone with what you are experiencing.  So why not go and seek some counseling?  Do you have access to therapy?  Keep us posted!

Since you are coming up with a clean bill of health, it may very well be anxiety.  If you lost the weight after your blood work was done, then have it checked again.  But to answer your question, yes anxiety can cause all of this.  Loss of appetite which equals loss of weight, dizziness and being lightheaded.  Since you have addressed all the physical reasons, it's time to address the anxiety and/or depression.  See a professional for help with this, either with therapy and/or medication, your doctor will know best how to help you.  Take care....
