severe

I've been feeling really off this whole week. Tired, dizzy, weak, naseau.  Finally peaked today and went to er. They sent me home without doing any tests, said anxiety.  I have this horrible feeling in my stomach, like extreme fear mixed with naseau. I'm weak and dizzy. Does anxiety cause this for a week?   I've been exercising a lot and I heard this can make anxiety worse. I'm scared I over did it and my heart is failing, or maybe my spleen is swollen or lactic acidosis. I can barely function today, all week has been off.  I'm really scared right now.  I don't know what to do!!!! What if I collapse or drop dead.

You may not have found the "right" therapist, or the right kind of therapy.  One of the more common kinds of therapies for anxiety is CBT (cognitive behavioral therapy), perhaps you could seek out a therapist who specializes in CBT.

My advice to you is to speak with your doctor and tell him you need some help with your anxiety, and ask for a referral to a psychiatrist.  He/she will perform a thorough assessment and discuss treatment options with you.  There are many different kinds of meds out there that will help to control the anxiety while you start working with a therapist.

I know I need help. I have had anxiety for a while. I just don't know where to go for help.  I tried a couple therapists a few years ago but it didn't help.  Where do I go?

I'm naseaous now...

It sounds like you have a head or chest cold, and some pretty severe anxiety related to your symptoms.  You describe pretty classic health anxiety symptoms.

It also sounds like perhaps you are doing a good bit of googling?  How else could you have come to the conclusiion that maybe you have lactic acidosis?  Googling is the very worst thing you can do for health anxiety, it is only going to fuel your panic.  You could type in "stuffy nose, headache, sore throat" and get results for everything from HIV to stroke, to cancer", when meanwhile, you have a head coldm or sinusitis.  Googling is not a good idea in this situation.

I strongly recommend you seek out some professional help for this.  You need to learn how to cope with the anxiety, and how to break that anxious cycle of thinking.  Anxiety isn't something that typically goes away on its own without help, unless the anxiety was related to a life stressor.

Please update us, let us know how you're doing!

I'm still feeling bad. I got the flu right after this or a bad cold or something.  Srtarted feeling better but woke up with room spinning when I moved my head this morning. Now I'm freaking. I know its probably my ears but I'm scared its something worse. How do I stop thinking that.  I'm really tired as I woke at 5am with the dizziness.  But I'm scared to lay down cause the dizziness gets worse. My head and ears are severly clogged.  But what if its a stroke or my heart.  I'm very scared. Don't like this dizziness
