Kind of tough for us to say what the shrink can or cannot do. Please ask him that question and then let US know what he says. I'd really like to know the answer.
Ditto on JSGeare. I was prescribed lexapro and prozacProzac Prozac weekly. Lexapro sent me to the ER with a majorMajor tears Major-gesic anxiety attack and prozac also made me nervous. Long story short, my doc. and physchiatrist recognized that I ONLY needed ativan for my anxiety. Unfortunately and for some reason, a lot of doctors out there are trying to treat anxiety with anti-depressants. Anti-depressants are uppers and they basically make you more nervous. These drugs are good for depressive folks. However, for anxiety...we need the benzos...Klonipin, Ativan, Xanax and Valium based on person's condition. Hope this helps to ask your doctors some more questions on what changes they should probably make. All the best.
Always best to taper off antidepressants.I took prozac for 1 week.I stopped it abruptly 21 days ago as the doctor advised me to.I definetly wouldnt recommend stopping abruptly.
