What Can I Do To Make The Doctors See Sense

Ok. So the past two days ive been feeling ridiculously lethargic and I stood up a about 20 minutes and nearly passed out from Postural Hypotension. For the past year and 6 months ive been suffering from symptoms of panic attacks, low blood pressure, hypoglycemia and everything. Ive been doctors 100+ times...had many blood tests. Chest X-ray. 24-hour ECG....And always fine apart from one thing on the ECG that my heart beats twice when I inhale (dont know the real name for it....if you know then please tell me)...which the doctor said could still be a symptom of stress. And ive told the doctors that I know my body and I know that its not anxiety....I do get panic attacks and I am a worrier but I know this isnt anxiety. Ive even been told that they are only saying its anxiety because they dont know what else it is but yet they havent done that many test?!?!. So basically My life is being ruined everyday by what they will ALWAYS flog off as anxiety. I wanna know what I can do to get them to think about other things it could be. I have all the symptoms of early Addisons Disease but they havent thought about testing me for that? Btw I am 20 years old, Medium Weight. All started after I had a panic attack when I took a drug. But I dont believe its anxiety. I dunno what question im really asking im just really really tired of this. I feel like im gunna pass out still yet I stood up from sitting ages ago...got dizzy...say back down....and its been about 40 minutes and im still feeling dizzy from it.

AHHHHHH

Hi, I have been through much of what you are talking about on here, specifically - the last 2-3 months, constant dizziness, diarrhea, nausea, and fatigue.  I also get palpitations from time to time, and have been many times to the local ERs.  I have had several blood tests, ekgs, and others.  All come back ok, and I walk away thinking "I was going to explain these symptoms this time in a way that will make the doctors test me for other things besides anxiety!!!" and I every time I walk away feeling much better after my tests come back ok.
I also agree that the sooner we realize its panic, that we can try to recover.  I for one, cannot bring myself to that though!  I had thought I had adrenal problems as well, and I too felt 2 beats/skipped beats while taking a deep breath.  I have thought of thousands of things it could be besides anxiety.  I then will convince myself for 2 hours thats it can't be any of those things or at least one doctor would have found something!  Then I go back to thinking it must be something bad!  its a never ending cycle, and I just want everyone else to know I'm there too!

You DO NOT want thryoid...LOL...I had a Total Thyroidectomy 1 year ago but now I have all that on TOP of anxiety.  I thought when I had my TT that things would be perfect and I would have my life back...that is SOOOO FAR from the truth.  I want to blame it all on not having a thyroid and my meds not being right,  when deep down I think I know it is anxiety.
But now I have all those symptoms and all the thyroid mess to go with it...LOL..

So what I am trying to say it I am in the same boat as you, my life is ruined, my kids lives are ruined and so is my hubbys all because of anxiety and I am really SAD about that.  Never think you are alone because you are not.    I am in MAJOR debt because of all the doctors I have been to and all the ER visits and so on...seems never ending ....

I recently had 5 episodes of anxiety attack within 2 weeks.  First time ever I had anything like those events.  Checked into ER twice, all the tests came back negative. I am on no meds except daily dose of aspirin.   I have been under a lot of stress but this type of stress was nothing new.  I constantly have neck tension, slight dizziness, tension in my eyes and occasional bouts of mild anxiety attacks with symptoms of shortness of breath, heart palpitations, and nausea.  I do not know what to do except I started working out and tried to watch my diet since caffein, alcohol and salt seem to make my symptoms worse or tend to trigger it.  Has anyone tried any behavioral therapy that worked?  I am 42 years old and have 4 small kids, I can not afford not to work but my symptoms are starting to affect my work. Help.

I was like you.  A lot of the same symptoms.  It all started with a panic attack out of nowhere.  I had a Dr. that insisted on tests, MRI's etc.  He knew me well and just couldn't believe anxiety was the root of all my problems.  I finally accepted it and so did he.  I would rather have had something physical that could be treated and go away.  That's the problem.  Most people would choose just about anything over the horrible anxiety they cannot control.  I certainly wanted mine to be thyroid or adrenal or anything we could fix.  Once you accept that it's panic disorder or GAD, it's easier to work with the Dr and start the road to feeling better. Good luck.  I know how you feel.

Hello there!

Hmm, i know how you feel about your doctor not seeing sence, i too keep going back and getting told " its probably anxiety" he says he's 95% sure! I'd like to know what the other 5% is??!! I must admit your symptoms do sound like anxiety. Just like you mine started with a panic attack, i had an ECG and blood test that came back normal, but the palpatations were really bad, all day everyday, i couldnt really stand. Anyway, the doc gave me some beta blockers which slow down my heart rate, so i have more energy now. Im still batteling with other symptoms though. Are you on any meds? Have you had a scan? Im having a CT scan of my head in three weeks. Im 22, female and like you my heart beats faster when i inhale.
Message me if you like, hope you feel better soon.

I get everything...you name it...I get it...

"Im going to pass out" type of dizzyness
"I have eaten" type of dizzyness
Vertigo type dizzyness
Dream like state
Extreme tiredness
Lethargy
Eye symptoms
Breathlessness
Brain fog
Heart palpitations
Nausea
Panic Attacks
Crying outbursts

Its the different types of dizzyness/faintness and extreme tiredness that are the main concerns and the most common....I feel dizzy at least 5 times a day for episodes of at  least an hour....they very from mild dizzyness to feeling like im about to pass out....although I never actually have yet.....I feel the closest ever right now as I type this though....

My life is ruined..

I ask that question all the time, my doctor never sees past my anxiety and I also say to them its not anxiety, but like you I have had heart tests and many more and they have all come back normal so I have to except that it must be down to my anxiety as we know anxiety can course so many awlful pysical symptoms of which you explain in your post, but I do understand how you feel, I have been suffering a tight abderman for over 2years now had all the tests and all came back ok, but that is the one thing I will not beleave is caused by anxiety, hang in there you will be fine. and remember feeling dizzy is very common in anxiety sufferers,
Janis
p.s they say my abderman is down to muscular problems?
