stopping paxil after only 6 days
is this safe?its 20mg and ive only been on for 6 days...but the things ive been reading make me think i should re-evaluate my situation.

You should do these with a shrink. PCPs know nothing about these meds. Shrinks know little about them, and it's their specialty. You pretty much have to do your own homework, but if you ever decide to go on another one, find a psychiatrist and question him or her beforehand about how they handle going up in dose and going off the medication. If they seem not to know anything about tapering and pooh pooh the issue, find another shrink.

Should be fine after only six days, but why not taper down anyway? Just to be safe? Either way, you'll find out soon enough. And ask your shrink why he or she started you right on 2omg instead of working up to see how you tolerated it?
