I get that too.  Is it all the time?  Does he get an anxiety attack and then feels like he is going to throw up?  I went to the GI doctor and they said nothing was wrong with my stomach or small intestines.  I still don't understand why I get a vomitting sensation all the time though...wish this world was stress free so many people would be happier :-)

i understand this completely.
for three weeks until i saw the psychiatrist i would wake up every morning and dry heave until i vomited. i would be so naseous until mid day - all chalked up to anxiety.
once i was put on the meds, it stopped. it was actually the first symptom to go away.

What type of medicine are you on now to help with naseousness?  It's all the time with me.  I don't try to throw up or anything, but just sitting and relaxing I feel it come on.  Whatever you are on I would like.  Did you go to a GI doctor for this?

I have noticed sprite helps in a way with this.  Saltine crackers too.  Do you guys not eat much from this?  I'm loosing weight from this and I don't like it.  I love food I'm just scared I'm going to throw up.

Since the vomiting was anxiety related, my doctor gave me clonazepam to calm me down. Once I took that I wasn't naseous in the morning. My assumption was that I'd fear anothter day of being anxious and so I'd be naseuos in the morning. But the clonazepam definitely did help. Im also taking zoloft with it for more long term fixes and the clonazepam helps a bit with the side effects. Im not sure medicine is always the way to go but when you get to the point where you can't stand it, you give in. I had lost 7 pounds from this anxiety.

I'd just like to throw out my professional 2 cents worth here. I work at a substance abuse clinic and many drs do not advise individuals to be careful with their benzodiazapene prescription (like Xanax, Klonopin(aka clonazepam), Valium). These medications are VERY habit forming, whether or not you have an addictive personality. The problem with benzos is that they are meant for OCCASSIONAL use but dr's prescribe them for daily use. What ends up happening is that your body quickly becomes adjusted to having this medication and your brain adapts to thinking it needs it for survival. Thus, soon the brain will start triggering anxiety attacks simply because it needs MORE of the benzo to ward of impending anxiety. Time and time again I have seen clients on 6 mg of a benzo because they thought it was 'NORMAL' to go up on a dose. This is not correct. For chronic anxiety sufferers such as myself, an antidepressant is the best way to go b/c if you taper slowly, you won't have seizures or other complications such as occur when people immediately stop taking benzos. I'm not trying to scare anyone..just educate. Benzo's are great for occasional anxiety attacks or situations that provoke anxiety (like flying) but not for every day use.

there...that's my 2 cents worth. :)

right, my doctor only has me on 1mg a day for a month until the zoloft kicks in. my anxiety was just so bad it was necessary.

well blondie i am a student and i always have this vomiting sensation when i have exams,i have to speak to new people or in assembly meeting or while going to new place. Sometime even when i am not having any anxiety i still feel like vomiting but i never vomit. i rarely eat food before going to school for the fear of throwing it out. Are you sure a psychiatrist will help cause i fear going there cause my dad will consider me as mad..........what to do?
