I'm going to answer a lot of BDD questions so don't get annoyed.. you probably won't even see this.. this was posted AWHILE AGO. but i've seen many people who suffer from this disorder who are infact 'attractive' or good looking.. I can't tell you why exactly people suffer if they're really not ugly.. because i do suffer.. and in my mind i am not atrractive, and explaining what goes through my head will turn out into a novel..
but if you ever run into someone with it.. never judge them of annoyance or vanity.. it will just hurt/affect them in so many ways you wouldn't think possible.. and even create unhealthy thoughts to become 'perfect'.. as the disease wants you to be.
Doubled edged question is it not? Because the disorder is about people who see something wrong with their image. At least I think it is. So were you might see that something you think is wrong with you, others might not see it at all. It might not exist. It might be all in your own mind.
