when to take medication

doctors have always said to take xanax for a week, then only take it when needed. but what is needed. is it when your having a panic attack, or when your just feeling anxious ( nervisness, trembling , dizziness, palpitations ) the hole anxiety symptoms thing. if anyone can tell me please do, i have lots to learn about anxiety.

Hi Daffy,

Your best bet would be to call your pharmacy and ask the pharmasist who is on call. Of course also ask your doctor first thing come Monday. Until then just take as little as you can get away with. I personally do not know the length of duration xanax says in your system, until you need another.

Perhaps someone else will.

actually shouldn't your pharmacy be open now? You can tell them the miligrams your on, they should be able to help.

dont worry about taking xanax, i am on it too. take. u probably have a done of .5, so take .25 at night before  u go to sleep and one in the afternoon, if u feel anxiety are onsetting.  my doctor told me to take it until u  stabilize urself.
