Cheers for your encouraging words.I feel better already.Knowing there are others out there who have, or are going through the same thing, is,in a positive way comforting.Take care.
Ya I know what you mean heart disease runs in my family my dad had a massive heart attck when he was 48 its scary but we are different and it doesnt mean we are going to have one . As long as we take care of our selvs and get checks up we will be fine....
Thanks for your comments and advice,it makes me feel better.Heart disease sort of runs in the family on my fathers side and now that I am 40 I seem to be dwelling on my own mortality.Father had an MI at 63 but survived. As to therapy I still have not found someone who was understanding enough.I may have to look at finding someone else.
I was in the same boat is you FEAR about my heart. It all came down to ANXIETY Trust yur doctor if they cant find anything its nothing....
Your doctor didn't suggest therapy? To get to the bottom "why" you are so concerned with your heart? Meds are a bandaid. They will calm you down and maybe even not think so much about it, but for how long? Till you get off of them? Do you want to take them forever? There is nothing wrong at the beginning to take meds ON TOP of professional help to find out why you are so afraid of dying and so afraid of your heart.
Did anybody in your family die of heart disease or sudden death because of a heart problem? Sometimes this can cause severe anxiety about a certain illness because you think it will happen to you too.
Most of all TRUST your doctor when he says that your heart is fine.
