Help from someone that might deal with this

I'm posting this under arthritis b/c I don't know where else to put it.  For 10+ years my husband has been dealing with joint pain and swelling that is debiliating.  It can "'fire up" in any joint, but typically neck, fingers, hip and shoulder.  When it starts, it usually has a "come on" day which is not bad.  The second day is the worse with pain, swelling and non-functionable use, then the third day is the "ease off" day.  Years back we went to the local doctor and he pinned it with fybromyalgia....which i completely disagree with b/c it has nothing to do with his muscles and he is not really fatigued.  They put him on Lyrica......which almost caused a divorce of a wonderful marriage.  He turned into someone that I did not know.....plus I don't think it really worked as good as it should have.  Do you know of anyone that may have these symptoms or can you point me in the direction of the proper kind of doctor to see.  Your help is so very appreciated.

This definitely doesn't sound like fibromyalgia.  He really needs to see a rheumatologist for a complete physical and blood work up.  They are the best at diagnosing and treating these kind of issues.
