So I'm 17, and I've been diagnosed with Fibromyalgia about 2 1/2 years ago. But ever since last year, I've been experiencing shooting pains in my joints, mainly in my fingers/hands, right arm, knees, and shoulders. I get pain in my back and thighs too. And ever since this year, I've been getting swelling in the fingers or my right arm, mainly the pointer and index finger. It could be argued that this could be from my violin playing, but I couldn't fine anyone else at All-state orchestra with the same problem as me. I've gotten many blood tests done to test for Lupus, rheumatoid factor, and stuff like that..all came back negative. My current rheumatologist has me taking Nasperin 3 times a day for 6-8 weeks to help with pain/swelling, and so far the inflammation has gone down. But the pain is getting worse..I keep waking up in the middle of the night in tears because it hurts so bad. Some days I can barely walk. My mom gave me this arthritus pill one day since I had an important audition to do, and it worked like magic. But it only lasted for 6ish hours, of course. So does this mean I have at least arthritic symptoms? No one's diagnosed my joint pain yet and I'm getting sick of having all these random pills shoved down my throat. At this point dying seems better than living (I'm not suicidal..I want to live). What does anyone out there think? Please tell me..I already have to deal with being brushed aside in High school, since normal kids my age don't understand how hard it is just to get through school with all this pain. I want to fix it so badly.
Thanks.
