THRs only a few months apart? Yikes! I wasn't even allowed to put weight on my first one for THREE months. I can't imagine going right into another one so quickly. I, for one, felt like I'd been hit by a Mack truck and needed time to fully recover.
Because of the stress on my wrists, elbows, shoulders from using a walker and crutches after my hip replacements, I had a temporary increase in pain in those joints until I got off the walking aids. So it's really no coincidence that your elbow pain started around the time of your surgery.
You need to know what kind of arthritis - there are over 100 differenty types.
Why in the world would your Doctor tell you that you are having these surgeries due to Arth., yet, not get an affirmative answer by an R-factor bllod test, or simply by sending you to a Rheu, specialist. Knowing the cause of an issue, or of other issues, is half the battle to wellness. Don't be afraid to know why this, or that, is occurring with you. Just know, WHAT IS THE CAUSE OF IT!!! Once you know that, everything else falls right into line for ya! Good Luck, Pmartin
What kind of doctors are you seeing? You do need to be seen by a rheumatologist to get a proper diagnosis and treatment. AS would show up in an xray. Many other auto-immune, arthritis's and even fibromyalgia can cause similar pain. Good luck on getting your answers.
