mixing tablets saftey?

ive been on venlafaxine over 3 yrs, 150mg. recently ive been recomended to try a colon cleanse for my candida, and need to no if taking it will be ok with the venlafaxine ? its contents are magnesium oxide, its called oxy powder a colon cleanser. any advice will be good , thanks.

Colon cleansing is not recommended by the mainstream medical community, except when required prior to a colonoscopy procedure.   Colon cleansing has not been proven to be beneficial in treating any medical condition.  Most people who claim that colon cleansing is a good idea are trying to sell you a product.  The colon is capable of keeping itself clean and removing toxins from the body. Colon cleansing can actually cause health problems such as dehydration and electrolyte imbalances. The best way to maintain a healthy lower intestinal tract is to add more fiber, fruits, and vegetables to your diet.  Regular exercise and adequate fluid intake (at least two liters a day) are also important.  

Candida is a type of fungus that occasionally overwhelms the intestinal tract. The gut has a normal flora of bacteria that is essential for the intestines to function properly.  The balance of good bacteria and harmful bacteria or fungus can be upset by the use of antibiotics and some intestinal illnesses. Diarrhea and intestinal irritability is common in these patients. Evidence suggests that taking over-the-counter probiotics may help recolonize the intestine with beneficial microbes and relieve intestinal irritability and diarrhea.
