Cribs

Does anyone have a really good not drop side crib?  I'm looking for something reasonably priced, and would perfer one that converts into a bed afterward.  I'm willing to spend up to $300 but I want to get somethign that will last for a couple kids.

Take a look at the Target website. They have a a lot of choices in your price range and that are convertible. DH and I just ordered a new one. It's a Greco Ashleigh that converts to a toddler bed.

Thank you, That was one of the ones I was looking at.  I also was looking at the Canton 4 in 1.  I likes this one because it made a toddler bed and also a full size bed and has the conversion peices included.  I found this one at Babies  R US.

they have gotten rid of the drop side cribs and they will be outlawed hopefully by this June from what I have read.

I would not get a Storkcraft as they get the most recalls. I have had three kids and pregnant with my fourth and I bought a baby relax (starting over it has been 9 years) nursery in a box for 199 at walmart that has a dresser, changing table and crib. It got so many great reviews!! None bad! It does nto convert though but I do know that it is good quality caompared to the higher priced cribs I have bought before! Very sturdy!

So the baby relax is a good brand I would say and they are at walmart> I have searched babies r us, walmart an target and target and walmart has lots of the same cribs that babies r us has for wayd less.

I would read the reviews at all three places and of the same crib with different finishes to help make your decision on the crib you like the best. That way you get hundreds of pro and cans instead of just a few.
