Why would I have dry skin on my bottom eye lids that cleared up entirely while I was on the highest dose of Geodon but then it came back after I was taken off of that?  That makes no sense to me.

Lol, yes wierd. Have no idea. Found my records of my medications going back to 2002 of every drug I have taken since then. Taking to pdoc today. Seems the geodon, seroquell and depakote were my best combination from the hospital pdoc in 05. Wierd because lithium and geodon were not a good mix and left me further in the hole.
Won't give you the recipe in open forum. Have to go get ready to go to psych. Better than two weeks ago but still in the hole. Hope your skin remains without dryness.

I do have dandruff but I was still curious why my dry skin on my face happened to clear up when I was taking Geodon.  Weird.

Ok, don't know the cause but have had exzema, dry skin, contact dermatitis. So.
Go get two things. One, get the largest box of baking soda and put about two cups of soda to enough water to cover to height of knees.  Or just use one full small box to bathwater to your knees. Pour it over you with a cup, keep eyes closed and wash off face with fresh water before opening your eyes.
Second. Get at a Walgreen's or the like a  container, white with pink top, Jergen's cold cream. Grease up face. It is great on dry skin besides the face.
If you have had any dandruff as a side effect or in the genes, let me know have a great remedy for it and now my hairdresser tells everybody this remedy.
Well hope all is well, work, life, home/relationships and all.

No actually anti-cholinergic side effects include dry mouth and blurred vision so dry skin might be part of that and perhaps the Geodon wasn't causing it as much as what you took before or after as dry skin did seem to be a rather common side effect of Geodon but wouldn't of course always happen.

Wow a side effect that is actually beneficial for once.  Thanks, I never would of thought of it as being a side effect.

That actually appears to be one side effect of Geodon but given that all (current) antipsychotics have anti-cholinergic side effects that could happen with any antipsychotic and given that people react differently to each one perhaps it was the medication you were transferred to rather than the Geodon helping it as Geodon is less likely to cause anti-cholinergic effects than some other antipsychotics.
