memory loss

I have bipolar disorder and have been experiencing short term and long term memory loss.
My doctor says that it is proably caused from all the medications I am on.
Does anyone else have these problems and do you have any suggestions?

I agree with Venora, you need to talk with your dr about cutting back on some of your meds. I am presently in the process of trying to cut back on some of mine.

Unfortunately, I take a bunch of meds for my fibromyalgia and I to have long and short-term memory loss.

You just need to speak with your dr about your number of meds and take it from there.

Good Luck

I know that after years on lithium i developed a goiter but was still showing normal thyroid levels.  THen I started getting low thyroid symptoms (including foggy thinking, memory loss - you know, can't think of the word you're trying to say) and finally my thyroid antibodies level was tested.  That showed high antibodies and apparently i'm on my way to being treated.

Well what meds are you on and can you cut some of them back.I am only on 2 and they control my bi polar beautifully. Never had any trouble like memory loss. at one time I was on 5 meds and I told the doc that this couldnt continue like this. see about cutting back some of your meds. I feel like you just need one for the depressiona and one for the manic. Let me know how it goes for you.
