Also, increase anxiety. I feel worry too much.
Zyprexa is known for causing significant weight gain. Many meds make us really hungry all of the time. If your concerned about weight it is really important for you to look up the side effects of a med before you choose to take it or not. There are meds that are weight neutral. It's a shame so many dr's don't take that into consideration when prescribing these drugs. They don't have to carry the weight, we do! I will not take a drug that is weight gaining no matter what. I am of normal size and have no intention of becoming overweight. It's tricky because even if a med says weight gain as a side effect it may not happen to every person. It's all trial and error. My motto is if the scale starts creeping up then it's time to change meds. It will take a little while for Zyprexa to get out of your system. I don't know how long metabolism takes to get back to the way it was or if it ever dose. I'm not knowledgable about meds and metabolism. There's so much to learn about all of this stuff. I believe your anxiety will decrease once your back to where you want to be. If the food cravings happened with the Zyprexa it just might take a while to go away. Just remember some meds do cause food cravings even though they are not listed under side effects. Everyone is different.
Also the Gabapentin has a tendency to cause you to over-eat. I know because it happened to me.
It is best to take your morning meds with a meal... perhaps a healthy one if you have that option. I am not sure how you take them now but I know it helped me when I started taking the meds with food,
Thank you for your helps.
