There is a chance that you may be feeling a certain way because you are starting a new medicine. What you think about the medicine and what you think about the dr can have a slight-short term effect on how you feel. It is not likely you will feel side effects this soon but I hope that long term the lithium is the right medication for you.
So after 1 month of taking Lithium, how r u? what do u feel? Still calm or there have been some triggers, and how did u react?!!
your going to be calmer..I've been on off it for years. I started what you did.im now at 1200mgs.i don't drink all the water im suppose to.I hate water..I drink it but no 1/2 gallon a day. it takes lithium 7 day or more. they will do a lithium blood test to see were your at. Then they may raise it till your .8..really if your up manic they will take you to 1.0..i went toxic on it in 08..it was my fault I got the flu wasn't eating salt or water..1 yr later they put me back on it..I like being a littlre hyper.lithem keeps me level..i do think you and your husband will like it..all the other meds suck to me..i,m also on 400mgs lamctail..they may give you that. They work together.lithiem is for the highs..lamctal for the lows. They say lithium works for lows but it don't..no one I know..
