When I get over a psychotic/depressive phase I go shopping like a maniac. Anyone the same???

Yes, Yes , Yes , i got that many dvd's & cd's i haven't watched or listened to yet and books and magazine's i haven't read,  oh and hat's i alway's buy hat's for some reason i seem to collect them when i'm manic :?

  Yes myself as well. When that does happen its essential to inform your psychiatrist about this. However there are also some standard coping tips such as leaving credit cards and if possible debit cards for a bank at home when you go out. Also if you are signed up to any online sites where you can buy things where you might over spend such as Amazon it would be worthwhile to (they have this service) have someone enter a password that (they should be a person you trust of course) that would block you from being able to access the site during this time frame.
