Weird Walk - limping - effect from medications?

Weird Walk - limping - effect from medications?

I've been told a few times that I limp - really bad and its notice able. Apparently I have a limp in my walk. My family doesn't notice it and neither do I. But some other people do - and they are worried. They say I favor my left leg over my right.

I assumed my bag was just too heavy because I carry it around all the time. It weighs heavier than I do after all. But no - I took the bag off for a moment and I was still limping they said.

Could this be a medication side effect?
Or a neurological problem?
Anyone else ever gone through this - limping or numbness in the legs?

My legs are not numb but I don't understand why or how this is happening. Something must be up with my legs though right - for other people to be dramatically paranoid about the way I walk.

Depends what medication you are taking. Antipsychotics and some other psychiatric medications can cause muscle stiffness from temporary movement disorders which can be treated with a side effect pill. It would be worthwhile to speak to your psychiatrist about this.

Mmm, well I have had at least two medications that have caused my feet to drag along the floor but that was due to the heavy sedation. I couldn't notice it but it was very visible to others who would point it out, thinking I was doing it on purpose, which was frustrating. It diddn't make a difference though as soon as I forgot to concentrate they would drag just along again, much to everyone's annoyance.

I am on a massively low dose of Zyprexa trying to help with sleeping - however it isn't working out so well.

Could that be triggering it?

I don't notice any limp but people keep pointing it out saying I should go see a doctor about it.
