I would go for memory/learning disability testing. It is possible that there is something wrong with how you process educational information and that is affecting your reading. CBT is also great therapy. In Canada if you ask your psychiatrist you can get referred to a social worker or psychologist with training in CBT for free. (there is a wait list). Otherwise you will need to pay out of pocket.
Hi, its good that you are aware of what is causing your problems, that can be half the battle!
I think because you are identifying your problems, you would benefit from CBT, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy. It is about changing the way we have learned to behave and cope with certain things, it helps to learn new ways of thinking.
