27 and bipolar since 15. Good luck, kid. Stay on the meds and remember that everything (moods, high school) is temporary.
Also never say "I can't... blablabla because I'm bipolar." I did it for years and all I got was my own pity-party. You can do everything anyone else can, you just have to be a little more creative about it. Being bipolar *****, but accept that it ***** and move on.
Also don't drink. Seriously. We are less equipped to handle alcohol and your meds wont work. Which *****, but it is what it is.
thanx its good to know that I'm not alone.....we need to create mental diseases awareness.
Hey there. I'm 29 and have been diagnosed with bipolar for over 10 years. You've already taken a good first step. You're talking about it and asking for help. There are no easy answers my friend. As I'm sure you know by now this illness can be hell. Just know you're not alone. You're loved and supported here. Dropping out of school *****, but it's not the end. I had to drop out too. Later I was able to go back and get my bachelors. Now I'm working on my masters. It's tough but I believe in you. Keep talking about this disease. Keep asking for help. You are not alone. Good luck friend :)
