voices in my head

Blondie is 33 and has had voices in her head since 10. I never new until lately. Sometimes tells her to leave and take son with her(death), fight with each other on decissions that need to be mad, better off gone because she can never get help
Get fits of rag that come on at any time. Ex: tonight had party, husband threw her in pool, massive tirate, thru chair at him and left screaming.  When she had thes fits in her younger years, water in the face would bring her back to reality.  She does not know what she is doing at this time.  Cant remember.

Voices like that need to be taken very seriously and handled by a psychiatrist or an emergency hospital admittance. If the voices are talking about killing her son that is a huge risk. There are medications that can help with these thoughts. Schizophrenia may be another thing to look at. The difference between the two is Schizophrenia is a disorder of thoughts, and bipolar is a disorder of moods and you can have a mix of both as well. Either way she needs immediate help. Next few days kind of help. Do whatever you can to encourage her to do it on her own, but if you feel she is a danger to the child you can have her admitted against her will for 72 hours for an assessment. They can then get a court order to hold her longer if they still feel she is a threat to herself or others.

Are you speaking about someone you know or yourself? All of this sounds of concern. Have you ever discussed the concept of dissociation with your psychiatrist? Having episodes of anger and rage can be part of bipolar but only a psychiatrist could make a specific diagnosis. What exactly would you mean by fits? Would that be seizures or episodes where you became angry because if its the first you would need to discuss that with a neurologist. It seems like perhaps what you are taking isn't working as it should and you should explain all this to your psychiatrist and discuss available options as regards medications.
