Inadequate Milk Supply. Help!

Inadequate Milk Supply. Help!

Good afternoon, Ladies,

This is the problem.   With my now 3 yr old son, I wasn't able to breastfeed him because I wasn't producing enough milk.  So I had to put him on formula.  This hurt.  Well, I am now 25 weeks pregnant and want to breastfeed my daughter.  My lactation nurse told me to drink Mother's Tea.  I've tried it and it makes me sick.  Is there anything else can use to help build my supply of milk.  I don't see my lactation nurse again until December.  Please give me any tips or advice.  I really want to breastfeed .  Thanks.

How low was your supply? Were you producing anything? How long did you try? DId you see a lacatation nurse to make sure it wasn't the latch and such? If you give us a few more details, we can probably give you some more advice :)

oh yea- i forgot to mention that I have heard of many women who did not have much of a supply the first time around, but made plenty in subsequent pregnancies. So don't assume it will happen again!!!
