Hi I'm 5 months pregnant and was just wondering if you can be put on bc and still breast feed? If so which kinds? thank you:)

As a general rule you don't want anything estrogen based like regular birth control pills. The mini pill, depo-provera, and IUDs (either Mirena or copper) are often suggested for breastfeeding mothers. I personally preferred Mirena, but this is a conversation best had with your OB so you can go over potential side effects of all options. Best of luck and congratulations on choosing to breastfeed!
