Butters and his water bowl.

My boy Butters is a bit neurotic about his water bowl. It must be a specific, clear plastic, ROUND bowl or he won't drink out of it.  I once put a square bowl out for him and he seemed to think it a devil bowl and flattened right out and backed away from it.  His water bowl is kept on my nightstand and on odd occassions he'll sample from Bob & Spirit's water glass kept on the coffee table. (My cats run the house-so what.) anyway-I re-arranged my bedroom and swapped out my nightstand for a neat little table w/a shelf on it and put original table on other side of bed. Butters won't drink his water whether the bowl is on table on wrong side of bed or on wrong table on right side of bed!!  Any of you have cats w/similar idiosyncrasies? (I have another water bowl avail. by the food dishes for now till he gets over  it.)

My cats like the bucket of water.  Not bowl.  If the water not full enough.  They put one front leg in, touch the water, lift it out and lick that leg.  They like water in large surface.  Sometimes they went into the bathroom and drink at the bathtub.  Try fill up a bucket and leave at bathroom or kitchen.
