Miss Teia like to spend a little more time Outside these days, does a full patrol of the perimeter before settling down on the grass under the deck, which is well-elevated.
This morning for the first time, Miss Teia explored Chessie's room, kept looking back over her shoulder.
I decided to sleep downstairs with Teia, my knees hurt from 3 days of being back to walking on concrete all day, didn't want to walk the stairs. ;)
Missy T stayed abed for 15 - 20 minutes last night, but she was sleeping on the floor in the bedroom when I arose this morning.
Anita has gone back to Washington, DC, so I'll see if Teia wants to be upstairs tonight, too.
"at the Pentagon"...oh my. :)
Half an hour is a good start!
Miss Teia did not complain when Anita scooped her up last night, nor when she was deposited on the bed.
She stayed about half an hour.
(Anita is home for the weekend, she started a 3 month rotation at the Pentagon last Monday.)
When I finished my shower this morning, guess who I saw through the steamed up glass of the door?
Missy T's first ever foray into, not just the master bedroom, but into the master bath. She stayed upstairs the entire time I was dressing and getting ready for work.
Maybe, we can get her to start staying the night like she did that one time last week.
She does look great. It's wonderful that Miss Teia has even lost some of the pudge. Anyone who doesn't know her story wouldn't even be able to tell by looking at her that she's as old as she is. Akira is close to the same age, and no one can tell with Akira by looking at her either.
Pip, she looks great. I can tell that she's content, her weight looks good, and her fur looks good. She is looking very healthy!! She even has her paws crossed!! LOL
I love this photo of Teia!! She looks so serene, healthy and happy. Her coat is very white and soft looking. She has turned into a real beauty. I doubt Teia would of done anywhere near as well if not for your loving devotion, Pip. Clearly, Dr Bennett never met your match...The one, the only, "Piparskeggr the Cat Whisperer!"
I really like the idea of the Vet taking blood in front of you. Jade is whisked off for procedures like that. She was always good until this one tech (who is rough with her...we don't like him...he's still there) tried to get blood from her and failed last yr. Poor Jade was never the same going to the vet after that.
Other than a few issues to keep your eye on, Teia sounds like she's doing real well. I'll be excited to see if she'll sleep on the bed after your rug is cleaned. :)
Hugs to you and Anita, Pip. I'm sure the feelings of loss are still very raw. ♥
She is so very lady like when she settles down to rest.
thats a beautiful photo of Teia....glad she had a good check up, Doc Bennett sounds like a great Vet:))
