i've found two ticks on my newly indoors kitty

hello,

we just adopted two outside cats (about 10 months old). we brought them home sunday and gave them a flea drop treatment that night. on monday, i found a tick on one of them. i called the local vet who told me how to remove the tick. i think i did it right, but how do you know if you got the head?

anyway, last night, i found another tick on the same cat - in a different spot. i'm worried that there are more and i just haven't found them. i'm also paranoid about where else the ticks might be. (like i said, i'm paranoid!!!)

should i take kitty to the vet for an all-over check up? i'm new to having indoor cats. my last cat, who died in 2007 (RIP lucy) was outdoors (and lived to be 21 in human years!) so i just don't know how to deal with these things.

any advice would be helpful. thank you in advance!
