Should I be worried?

The bottom part of my scar is looking a little swollen or redder then it was last week?

I'm nearly 4 weeks post op is it normal for it to get a bit red? Is it because it's not hidden under so much hair? Should I get it checked out and if so who by just my nurse at my GP?

Also for the past few days I have had a tremor in my hands it's got worse and now my legs have started a little shake. Is this normal for chiari? Or does anyone else have this?

Ive come down with a cold and feelin run down anyway thought it might be to do with that just dont know - any advice greatly received!!!

I am 5 weeks post-op.  I noticed that my scar was turning red because my clothes and coat rubbed against it.  As long as the incision doesn't feel hot, have pus-like drainage, or have red streaks coming from it; then you are probably fine.  When in doubt, call the doctor for advice.

Its si hard to figure it all out. Just relax. My dr kept tellin me its part of the healing process. Kinda hard when you dont know what is normal and what isnt right?  Dont be afraid nor feel silly. You got a question, you call them and let them know. Not like we have had brain surgery before, ya know. You start lookin into anything you notice. Just like selma said, watch for fluid coming out. I had fluid come out of mine for weeks off and on and they saw me and the reg  its all part of healing is what i got. Well im almost 5 mo post op and all is as good ad its gonna get. But my scar, you can barely even see. :)

Hi...not being a Dr I can  not say for sure, but most have these tremors and  such as they heal, the nerves that were compressed r coming back to life and at times may over respond and u wind up with tremors....

As for the scar, unless it hurts, or looks like it is filling with fluid I would not worry, keep it clean...but do not over wash ur hair even with the baby shampoo as it dries the skin and causes it to pull on the scar.....

I hope this helps
