12 month old recently diagnosed

Hello. My 12 month old son was recently diagnosed with Chiari. I do not know any details yet as to exactly which type. It was incidentally found on a Brain MRI. We have an appt with a NS tomorrow and I want to make sure I am prepared. For those of you that have been through this, especially with your children, what questions did you ask? What should I be prepared for?

  Hi and welcome to the Chiari forum.

I am so sorry ur little one is having to deal with this and u as well...it is not easy for a parent to see their child in pain.

Make sure u see a few NS's and take this part slowly...unless this is a medical emergency...take ur time to find the right NS.

I just can not inmagine having a child so young and having to deal with Chairi.  I'm thankful that they did find it and now you can find some answer's.  I pray that you find the right doctor.  As selma said see more than 1 doctor.  I went to 3 or 4  before I found the one I was comfortable with.  The question's that are on this web also help me so much when it was time to visit a doctor.  Your in our prayer's
